How I See Dating Sites

This subject has come up on a few different groups so I thought I'd address it here.

I've heard people comment about how they have not found a wife at a dating site so therefore the site is no good. Or that some of the women have been there awhile so therefore the site is no good.

Obviously those people who think that way are looking at it all wrong.

In both cases they have not stopped and thought that maybe the reason they
didn't find a wife is because the right person wasn't there yet or had beenthere but left before they joined....and as far as the women being there awhile - maybe those women haven't found the right family yet !

A good analogy would be "clothes shopping"

If one goes shopping for a new outfit they tend to already know what they want.  Style. Color. And of course it has to fit :-)

They find an outfit but it's wrong color - why would they get it ?
They wouldn't.

They find an outfit but it's the wrong style - why would they get it ?
They wouldn't.

They find an outfit but it just doesn't fit 0 why would they get it?
They wouldn't.

Not all women are going to be what a family is seeking.......and not all
families are going to be what a woman is seeking.....and neither should "settle"
for less.

Hence why one might not find a wife at a site necessarily and/or why the profiles of women seeking a family might seem to have been there awhile - not because the site is at fault or useless or a scam - just that the right fits have not yet been found ;-)

Understand ???

New Season = Reflection

I love Fall.

Watching the trees change color and the leaves fall to the ground. Raking the leaves off the lawn is like a sort of 'cleaning house'.....removing things that no longer are useful to get back to the base...the ground floor so to speak.

Don't get me wrong I love Spring and Summer too.......but for different reasons. Maybe I'm just getting older and more sentimental, but Fall triggers a nesting in me and makes me reflect on years past. Friends anew and old, and friends who have gone.

Then there is the one special leaf you find in your raking chore.......it's perfect. Perfect coloration, perfect shape, just perfect. That leaf remnds me of things I may have rejected too quickly........blessings overlooked or dismissed. When I find such a leaf I keep it for awhile, take it out and ponder over it until my heart is settled :)

Did I mention that I love Fall ?

SPRING..........A Time of New Beginnings

I love Spring.
Did I tell you I love Spring?
Well I do.  I LOVE SPRING !

Spring is a time of new beginnings.
Trees bud and grow new leaves.  Flowers burst up from their dormant sleep and bloom new blooms.  The air has a certain aroma....Crisp and clean........like freshly laundered linens.  Ahhhhhhhh, Spring !

Life has new beginnings too this time of year.
People have a brighter outlook on life in the Spring....winter doldrums are lifted away.  Winter clothes are washed and stored away and lighter clothing is brought out and freshened for wear.  Mindsets change from indoor winter projects to planning outdoor projects.

Even troubles and trials seem lessened or easier in the Springtime.  At least for me they do.
Maybe it's the prettiness of everything around...........I'm really not sure.

All I know is...

I LOVE SPRING !

Amazing

Amazing.
That is the word I have found myself saying way to often lately.
Amazing.
Christians who preach "love" doctrine - yet abhor other Christians who live polygamy.
Amazing.
Seculars that support "live and let live" or "follow your bliss" thinking - yet say only perverts and abusers want a polygamous  life.
Amazing.
People from any and all walks of life who believe that no woman would really CHOOSE to be a polygamous wife because they themselves would never choose that kind of life.
Amazing.
Those who say they are curious to listen to you about your life - then spend the time asking questions is an accusatory manner - and not hearing a word you say.
Amazing.
Amazing.
People who say they are polygamists and/or want to live polygamy, who want freedom to live their lives peacefully - yet spend their time criticizing, condemning, and complaining about Activists who are working for the same thing.
Amazing.

Amazing grace - How sweet the sound - That saved a WRETCH like me - I once was lost - but now am found - was BLIND but now I SEE.

Amazing.

Feeling like made of Elastic

Yup. Elastic. Mostly because lately been pulled in several directions at once.
Problem is elastic loses it's stretchability...........
......... and so am I.

Things have to change soon before I snap lol.

Hoping Fall will bring that change.

Of the Right Mind ? or Minds ? The Double-Minded Dilemma

Like the Fixx says in their song.....

"You see dimensions in two
State your case with black or white
But when one little cross leads to shots, grit your teeth
You run for cover so discreet

Why don't they do what you say?
Say what you mean oh, babe
One thing leads to another
You told me something wrong
I know I listen too long but then
One thing leads to another"

Has anyone other than me ever dealt with such a person or people ?  Do you find it as exhausting and frustrating as I do ?  No matter whether it's a friend, relative, co-worker or neighbor ...... dealing with such a person is difficult.
What can be done though ?
What should be done ?
I don't know.......... wish I had the answer...... in the past I would cut such a person from my life completely. Was that the correct choice ?  Probably not.  I miss those people as some were family.
By cutting them out they couldn't affect my mental state any longer....but it was also a loss of heart to cut them out.
So, which is better ?
If they are allowed to remain then the pain caused by their double-mindedness is also allowed to continue isn't it ?  Right ??  Like a slow burning pile of leaves - smoldering but never totally engulfed.  Maybe the pain would become "normal" and you would adjust and adapt.
No............that can't be healthy.
Sigh........still no answers.
Still not clear.
Is it same as "lying" ?  In their mind it's not. In my mind it is. Who's right ?
How does one help a double-minded person ?  How do you help someone who doesn't think they have a problem ?
Maybe it's us single-minded people who have the problem.....................because we can't figure out how to handle the double-minded.
That's my thought...for now anyway.

God, Garden, Life

God's Garden

By Dorothy Frances Gurney (1858-1932)

THE Lord God planted a garden
In the first white days of the world,
And He set there an angel warden
In a garment of light enfurled.

So near to the peace of Heaven,
That the hawk might nest with the wren,
For there in the cool of the even
God walked with the first of men.

And I dream that these garden closes
With their shade and their sun-flecked sod
And their lilies and bowers of roses,
Were laid by the hand of God.

The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth, –
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.

For He broke it for us in a garden
Under the olive-trees
Where the angel of strength was the warden
And the soul of the world found ease.

That poem is so true.  Personally for me anyway.
When life is pulling me in all directions - I run to my garden and peace surrounds me.
When things in my life are stressing me out - I run to my garden and peace fills me.
When my heart is missing loved ones gone - I run to my garden and peace soothes my heavy heart.
The garden is truly a wonderful thing.  I highly recommend gardening or even just going and sitting in a garden and soaking in the beauty.
Another benefit of gardening is weeding.....Yes I said WEEDING....if you are in a bad mood for any reason, weeding the garden will take the anger away weed by weed !

Truly I am thankful that GOD created the garden.   We've had alot of long long talks in my gardens, God and I.

"One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth."

Thank you LORD.

Chicken meet head ... Head meet chicken

Ever bite off more than you know you can chew ?
Ever feel like ya might choke on the mouthful but don't want to spit it out yet can't breathe?

Well most days are like that for me.

Besides working fulltime, I've got yahoo and google groups, facebook - personal and poly, various other sites I'm member of...some very important others not so much, and then there is home and family and friends.
I'm plumb tuckered !

I know, I KNOW! I gotta learn to say No or delegate some of my responsibilities to others....I just hate burdoning anyone with my self-imposed workload lol.

Now, here comes Springtime....means garden cleanup and hectic job season......and Lots of urges to expand my gardens and start new ones.......lol.......yeah......sigh.

Ok, well gotta keep nibbling at it all before I choke.

Thanks for listening :)

This Guy Really Gets It !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all !

The 2nd season of the NPA's speeches are being posted to youtube now. The

first one was last Thursday....it is amazing how much insight he really has!

Ya gotta check this out.......

The Power of Attracting Woman's Choice

http://youtu.be/ynsYQigmCmw

National Polygamy Advocate Mark Henkel reveals the "secret power" of

attracting woman's choice. In this entertaining yet powerfully informative

speech, he shows that

* The fact of nature that Women CHOOSE the Men in relationships;

* This fact impacts marriage of a woman and a man; and

* This fact impacts polygamous marriage even that much moreso.

At the start of this presentation, Mark Henkel says to the audience, "If

you're a man, you're going to learn something. And if you're a woman, you're

probably going to chuckle-thinking that this is actually a man who

understands something women have long known for years. And if you're a

hostile anti-polygamist, your false accusations will be utterly refuted."

By realizing the "secret power" of attracting woman's choice, all of society

can see that there is nothing to fear from this. Consenting adult polygamy

can only be possible by each WOMAN'S CHOICE. A man will never be able to

successfully "be a polygamist" (or remain a polygamist) if he does not

unceasingly apply this "secret power."

New Year, New Beginnings

Hi all. Hope you all had a blessed Christmas.
I love New Years....it's not just the start of a new year, but it's a new beginning !
Some people make resolutions. As for me, I don't make resolutions - knowing I've broken just about every one I've ever made - instead it's a time to examine the past year. The good. The bad. Then decide what I want the coming year to be.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot

And never brought to mind?

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

And auld lang syne!

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll take a cup o' kindness yet

For auld lang syne

And surely ye'll be your pint stowp!

And surely I'll be mine!

And we'll take a cup o' kindness yet,

For auld lang syne

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll take a cup o' kindness yet

For auld lang syne

We twa hae run about the braes,

An pou'd the gowans fine

But we've wander'd mony a weary fitt,

Sin' auld lang syne

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll take a cup o' kindness yet

For auld lang syne

We twa hae paidl'd in the burn,

Frae morning sun till dine;

But seas between us braid hae roar'd,

Sin auld lang syne

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll take a cup o' kindness yet

For auld lang syne

And there's a hand, my trusty fiere!

And gie's a hand o' thine!

And we'll take a right gude-willie waught,

For auld lang syne

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll take a cup o' kindness yet

For auld lang syne

Disposable People

I've been noticing a very sad occurance happening in the polygamy world.
Lately there has been too many "dissolving families" on facebook....maybe it's just something I've been blind to until now.......or maybe it's just not an occurance in my regular circles....but either way it's distressing.

PEOPLE ARE NOT DISPOSABLE !

WIVES ARE NOT DISPOSABLE !

FAMILIES ARE NOT DISPOSABLE !

It saddens me greatly to see people disolve marriages so quickly and without a care!  Some even get upset at others being upset about the callousness ...... something needs to change.  More people need to get legal contracts in place.  More people need to date longer before jumping into the marriage bed.  Marriage isn't a disposable diaper - you cannot throw it away when it gets poopy !

What gets me is the lackadaisical attitude of  it all.  How cold !  Really doesn't help people's trust issues to know that even though they are told how much they are valued and loved - tomorrow they could be booted without notice.....like an old shoe.
A common factor are the first wives. In most of the instances I've seen, it's the first wives "deciding" that they don't want their husbands having another wife....so even though they may have been the one PUSHING for the husband to get a second wife, and may have found the second wife for the husband...when rubber met road and reality hit - rather than talk through feelings/emotions/issues - they insist the husband put out the other woman or else. We are not talking about stopping dating...we are talking about ending a marriage ! It's so wrong on so many ways it's disgusting and it's NOT what polygamous marriage REALLY IS !! These people who are described here also will be repeat offenders..which is even worse !!!
I have no answers as to how to stop the carnage.  And I also know it isn't the case in all polygamous marriages.

But frankly..........
The sooner polygamous marriages get decriminalized the better.

"The Emperor is Wearing No Clothes!"

http://youtu.be/Ot9bfg7dwDQ

"The Emperor is Wearing No Clothes!" is the original title of this important speech by National Polygamy Advocate, Mark Henkel. This presentation is a tool for Christians and non-Christians alike to use when showing other Christians the 100% proof that the Bible NEVER created the invented "one man, one woman" doctrine. Mark Henkel genuinely provides an effective balance of making an educational speech that, on one hand, Bible-based Christian audiences will know is 100% Biblical and that, on the other hand, non-Christian audiences will feel unpreachingly informed of how to show other Bible-based Christians what the Bible really says about the issue.

Mark Henkel answers and explains the 4 most key arguments:
* The Grace / Law Hypocrisy
* Polygamists in the Bible
* Adultery and "One Flesh"
* Limitations of Only Kings, Bishops, Elders, and Deacons

Online, specific details about Polygamy in the Bible may be found at
http://www.BiblicalPolygamy.com

Using the analogy from the famous story from Hans Christian Andersen, Mark Henkel rightly calls out the truth about what the Bible says about the "one man, one woman" doctrine:
"The Emperor is Wearing No Clothes!"

Whether you are a Christian or not, this speech is a powerful and essential tool to show all Christians the actual fact that the
Bible NEVER Created the One Man One Woman Doctrine.

Five Cogent Sentences - Political

These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read:

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2.. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Can you think of a reason for not sharing this? Neither could I.......

THIS IS THE HOUSE THAT JACK BUILT

When I was a child my mother taught me to read by reading a very old Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes book with me, of which my favorite was "This Is The House That Jack Built". It reads as follows :

This is the house that Jack built.

This is the malt

That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the rat,

That ate the malt

That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the cat,

That killed the rat,

That ate the malt

That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the dog,

That worried the cat,

That killed the rat,

That ate the malt

That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the cow with the crumpled horn,

That tossed the dog,

That worried the cat,

That killed the rat,

That ate the malt

That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the maiden all forlorn,

That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,

That tossed the dog,

That worried the cat,

That killed the rat,

That ate the malt

That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the man all tattered and torn,

That kissed the maiden all forlorn,

That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,

That tossed the dog,

That worried the cat,

That killed the rat,

That ate the malt

That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the priest all shaven and shorn,

That married the man all tattered and torn,

That kissed the maiden all forlorn,

That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,

That tossed the dog,

That worried the cat,

That killed the rat,

That ate the malt

That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the cock that crowed in the morn,

That waked the priest all shaven and shorn,

That married the man all tattered and torn,

That kissed the maiden all forlorn,

That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,

That tossed the dog,

That worried the cat,

That killed the rat,

That ate the malt

That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the farmer sowing his corn,

That kept the cock that crowed in the morn,

That waked the priest all shaven and shorn,

That married the man all tattered and torn,

That kissed the maiden all forlorn,

That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,

That tossed the dog,

That worried the cat,

That killed the rat,

That ate the malt

That lay in the house that Jack built.

The other day I came across this rhyme again. Maybe it had something to do with my mood at the time, but it struck me in a whole new way. This rhyme is like life.....things compound until we are full and cannot handle anything else. Jack really needs to organize his house. So do we. However, if you notice it seems to have all started with malt. Malt was the very first thing Jack layed in his house. The MALT started the whole cascade. Right ??
Wrong !
JACK is what started the whole thing....it was JACK that built the HOUSE !
I guess my point is that when things in life seem to be cascading and crowding, instead of blaming all the things and people in and around your house, blame yourself - YOU BUILT IT !
And it might not all be as bad as it seems - yes the rat died, the cat was worried by the dog and the dog was tossed by the cow....but also....
The farmer, who owned to the cock that crowed in the morn, got his corn sowed , The crowing woke the priest all shaven and shorn, so he could marry the man all tattered and torn to the maiden so she could stop being so forlorn, who milked the cow with the crumpled horn.

Ok, I guess in the end it all works out for the best.

Oh What a Beautiful Day !

Oh, What a beautiful mornin’,

Oh, What a beautiful day.

I got a beautiful feelin’

Ev’erything’s goin’ my way.

Well ok.....maybe not everything....but life is good and I am feeling blessed.
Tomorrow is August 19th.
August 19th is Polygamy Day !
It might seem to some that it's strange to celebrate polygamy, and maybe it is, but when you've had to defend your life and/or hide your life, it feels good to step into the sunshine and celebrate the accomplishments and forward progress that has been made over the years.

So, I chose to celebrate August 19th, Polygamy Day, with MY family, MY way because.........

I got a beautiful feelin'
Ev’erything’s goin’ my way.

Everythings Fine

"If I tell you what you want to hear,
Will it help you to sleep well at night?
Are you sure that I'm your perfect dear?
Now just cuddle up and sleep tight"
